Bīshah Map Poster & Print
Bīshah lies in the Asir Region of southwestern Saudi Arabia, on the eastern side of the highlands, where the mountains slope down toward the interior plateau. The town follows Wadi Bishah, one of the longest valley systems in the Arabian Peninsula. On a map, its layout cannot be separated from the course of the wadi.
Palm groves and farms line the valley floor, and Bīshah has long been known for its dates. From above, the farmland appears as a dense band of plots and tracks following the wadi. The town's streets spread out on either side in a looser grid, with open desert beyond.
Upstream, the King Fahd Dam holds back the waters of Wadi Bishah and is one of the largest dams in the kingdom. A Bīshah map poster brings together the long line of the valley, the patchwork of farms and the planned streets of the modern town. Water shapes the whole composition, even in one of the driest landscapes on earth.

Palm groves
Date palm plantations and small farms line the valley floor, forming a fine patchwork of plots and tracks that stands out against the open desert.
Modern grid
Newer districts spread away from the wadi in straight streets and regular blocks, a clean geometry that contrasts with the organic farmland.
