Boli is the seat of Boli County in eastern Heilongjiang, in the Qitaihe area. Like many towns in China's northeast, it has a practical plan. Wide main roads divide the town into large blocks of apartment buildings, public buildings and commercial streets, and the whole grid is easy to read from above.
