Buraca Map Poster & Print
Buraca is part of the municipality of Amadora, directly northwest of Lisbon's city limits. It was a parish in its own right until the 2013 administrative reform merged it into the larger parish of Águas Livres. On the map it forms part of the continuous urban fabric that spreads out from the capital along the main routes to Sintra.
The neighbourhood occupies uneven ground, and its streets climb and curve with the terrain. Apartment blocks, older low houses and small squares sit close together, while major roads and railway corridors pass nearby, drawing strong lines across the dense pattern. Green areas are scattered and small, which makes the built texture stand out even more.
A Buraca map poster shows a Lisbon suburb at close range: tightly packed blocks, streets bending around hills and the broad arcs of the highways that link it with the city. It is a portrait of a place defined by density and movement, very different from the postcard image of Lisbon's centre.

Expressway arcs
Nearby motorways and connecting roads sweep past in wide curves and interchanges, providing the strongest lines on the map.
Urban continuity
There is no clear gap between Buraca and neighbouring areas of Amadora and Lisbon, so the street network flows off every edge of the print.
