Chillum Map Poster & Print
Chillum lies in Prince George's County, directly along the northeastern boundary of Washington, D.C. On a map the straight diagonal line of the District border is clearly visible at its edge, with the city grid on one side and the more varied suburban street pattern of Maryland on the other.
The community is mostly residential, with apartment complexes, small houses and commercial strips along the main roads. Tributaries of the Anacostia, including the Northwest Branch nearby, run through wooded valleys, and neighbouring areas such as Hyattsville and Takoma Park frame it to the east and north.
A Chillum map poster records a place defined by its position between city and suburb. The sharp boundary line, the arterial roads heading into Washington, the stream corridors and the mix of block types give the drawing a lively, layered character. It is a portrait of everyday life just outside the capital.
