Chunian Map Poster & Print
Chunian lies in Kasur District, in the flat farm country south-west of Lahore. The land here is almost perfectly level, and the map shows it: a compact core of narrow streets and bazaars, with roads heading out in straight lines across a patchwork of fields. Irrigation canals and their smaller branches cut through the countryside, adding long, precise strokes to the composition.
Like many towns in central Punjab, Chunian has long been a market for the surrounding villages, trading the crops grown on canal-watered land. The town is also the seat of a tehsil of the same name, whose administrative area covers a wide rural district well beyond the urban core.
A Chunian map poster turns this farming landscape into a clean graphic study. The tight cluster of the old town contrasts with the open geometry of canals and farm roads around it. With no hills or coastline, the pattern people have worked into the land becomes the subject of the image.

Canal lines
Irrigation canals, part of Punjab's vast network, run across the plain in long straight or gently curving lines. They are the map's most distinctive strokes.
Roads to the villages
Roads radiate out toward surrounding villages and neighbouring towns in a star-like pattern that shows how the town has served its rural surroundings.
