The border river
The Río Bravo meanders along the northern edge of the map. Its curves contrast with the straight lines of fields and streets and mark the boundary with the United States.

Ciudad Río Bravo Map Poster & Print
Ciudad Río Bravo stands near the south bank of the river Mexicans call the Río Bravo and Americans the Rio Grande. It lies in the lower valley between Reynosa and Matamoros. On a map, a regular street grid sits within a wide agricultural landscape of rectangular fields, and straight irrigation canals slice across the flat ground.
The town grew with the irrigation district that turned this part of northern Tamaulipas into productive farmland. The pattern of fields and canals is as much a part of its map as the streets are. To the north, the river winds in loose meanders that mark the international border, and a road bridge crosses to the Texas side.
A Ciudad Río Bravo map poster places the orderly town against the looping line of the river and the patchwork of farmland. It is a clear picture of a border place shaped by water, agriculture and the crossing to the north.
