Civitanova Marche Map Poster & Print
Civitanova Marche lies on the Adriatic coast of the Marche region, in the province of Macerata, at the mouth of the Chienti River. On the map, the town is clearly divided in two. By the sea, the modern town stretches along a straight shoreline, with a regular street grid, a promenade and a harbour.
A few kilometres inland, on a hill, sits Civitanova Alta, the old walled town. Its streets are short and irregular, enclosed within a compact outline that looks completely different from the grid on the coast. Winding roads connect the two parts across the slope.
The town is known for its footwear industry, part of a shoe-making district in the southern Marche, and for its fishing port. A Civitanova Marche map poster captures the full composition: the coast, the harbour, the river and the old hilltop core, all in one frame.
