Crestview Map Poster & Print
Crestview is the county seat of Okaloosa County in the Florida Panhandle. Its name refers to its position on a ridge between the Shoal and Yellow rivers, among the higher ground in the state. On the map, the older town centre forms a compact grid near the railway. Newer subdivisions spread outward along curving streets and cul-de-sacs.
The city grew as a crossroads, and it is sometimes called the Hub City. Interstate 10, US Highway 90 and the east-west railway all pass through or beside it, and major north-south routes meet them here. From above, these corridors cut firm lines across a landscape that otherwise dissolves into pine forest and wetlands.
A Crestview map poster shows how the town is framed by that surrounding green space. River valleys and large forested areas, including land connected to Eglin Air Force Base to the south, leave wide empty zones around the street network. The result is a clear, readable composition of a southern crossroads town.

Downtown grid
The historic core near the tracks keeps a small rectilinear grid, in contrast to the looping streets and cul-de-sacs of the newer suburbs around it.
River valleys
The Shoal and Yellow rivers run through wooded lowland on either side of the ridge, framing the town with winding water and wide stretches of forest.
