Diego Martin Map Poster & Print
Diego Martin is in the northwest of Trinidad, west of Port of Spain. The area is a series of valleys running up into the hills of the Northern Range. From above, residential streets fill the valley floors and climb the lower slopes, following the shape of the land instead of a straight grid.
The main valley is largely residential and is closely linked to the capital. Main roads run up the valley, and side streets branch off into small cul-de-sacs and hillside estates. Wooded ridges rise on either side, and the coast of the Gulf of Paria lies to the south and west.
A Diego Martin map poster shows how settlement follows the land. Dense streets fill the lower valley. Higher up, they thin out and curve along the slopes, and the forested hills leave open areas that frame the built-up land and give the sheet a clear sense of relief.

Hillside estates
Curving roads and cul-de-sacs climb the lower slopes. They create delicate, branching shapes at the edges of the settlement.
Northern Range ridges
Wooded hills surround the valley. They leave broad open areas that emphasise how neatly the built-up land fills the low ground.
