Vineyard edge
North of town, the dense street network ends abruptly at open wine farms. The rolling hills become quiet empty space with only a handful of winding farm roads.

Durbanville Map Poster & Print
Durbanville is in Cape Town's northern suburbs, in South Africa's Western Cape. The map shows a town of winding residential streets, crescents and closes. An older core of straighter roads sits among them. To the north and east, the built-up area stops sharply against open farmland on rolling hills.
That farmland is the Durbanville wine valley. Vineyards on the slopes there catch cool breezes from the Atlantic, and the region is known especially for Sauvignon Blanc. To the south, the suburbs continue almost unbroken toward Bellville and the Tygerberg hills. As a result, Durbanville reads as the point where city turns into countryside.
A Durbanville map poster makes that edge clear. A dense tangle of suburban roads fills one side of the sheet, and on the other only a few farm tracks cross wide empty space. The contrast gives the design both detail and calm.

Town centre
The older core has straighter streets and a few main roads meeting at a centre. It is a small area of order within the newer curving suburbs.
Suburban crescents
Newer neighbourhoods are laid out in loops, crescents and cul-de-sacs. They give the southern and western parts of the map a soft, organic texture.
