Foster City Map Poster & Print
Foster City sits on the western shore of San Francisco Bay, between San Mateo and Redwood Shores. It was built in the 1960s on reclaimed land once known as Brewer Island, developed by T. Jack Foster. From above, it looks unlike the grid cities around it.
A network of lagoons winds through the city, and the streets curve around the water in loops and cul-de-sacs, with many homes backing onto the lagoon. The outer edge is a levee along the bay shoreline, and the western approach of the San Mateo Bridge lands just to the north.
On a map, Foster City looks almost designed to be drawn. It has flowing water shapes, carefully planned neighbourhoods and a crisp outline against the bay. A Foster City map poster captures that graphic quality in clean, precise lines.
