Section-line roads
Long straight roads laid out on the old rural survey grid cross the village at regular intervals, giving the poster a steady structure that the newer streets bend around.

Germantown Map Poster & Print
Germantown sits in Washington County, just beyond the northwest edge of the Milwaukee metro area. From above it reads as a place in transition. Looping residential streets and cul-de-sacs cluster around a few main roads, while larger rectangular blocks mark industrial and business parks. Past them the pattern loosens into the section-line roads and field boundaries of rural Wisconsin.
The village takes its name from the German immigrants who settled the area in the 1840s, and that farming past still shows in the long straight roads that divide the land into even squares. Newer development has filled many of those squares with winding streets, so the map holds two logics at once: the survey grid underneath and the softer suburban curves laid over it.
A Germantown Wisconsin map poster turns that layering into a clean graphic. Thin lines trace the Menomonee River and its green corridors, heavier strokes follow the freeway along the eastern side, and the residential loops sit between them like fingerprints. In black and white the contrast between planned curves and old straight roads becomes the whole design.

Suburban loops
Residential neighbourhoods built in recent decades appear as looping streets and short cul-de-sacs, dense clusters of curves set inside the larger squares of the grid.
Menomonee River corridor
The upper Menomonee River winds through the area as a thin irregular line, often edged by parkland, adding a natural counterpoint to the engineered road pattern.
