Flat Mithila plain
The land is almost perfectly flat. Roads and field boundaries spread out without much need to bend, which gives the map an open, even texture.

Ghogardīha Map Poster & Print
Ghogardiha is a small town in northern Bihar, in the Mithila region near the border with Nepal. The land here is almost completely flat, part of the wide Gangetic plain. It is crossed by rivers coming down from the Himalayas, which have shifted their courses many times. From above, the town is a small cluster of lanes set in open farmland.
The countryside around Mithila is dotted with ponds and small villages linked by narrow roads. On the map, these appear as scattered clusters and small water shapes around the town. The region is widely known for Mithila painting, a folk art tradition of fine lines and patterns.
A Ghogardiha map poster is a simple, honest picture of a small north Indian town and its landscape. It is mainly for people with family ties to the area and does not try to make the place into more than it is: streets, fields, ponds and the roads between them.
