Gulin Map Poster
Gulin is a county in the far south of Sichuan, administered from Luzhou, near the provincial border with Guizhou. The land is steep and folded. The county town fills a narrow valley floor, and its streets are forced into long, curving strips that follow the watercourse and the contours of the surrounding hills.
Because flat land is scarce, construction climbs the lower slopes, and roads switch back as they leave town. The wider county is mostly mountains and terraced farmland, and the Chishui river marks part of its southern boundary with Guizhou. It is a region known for distilling baijiu.
A Gulin map poster looks unlike anything drawn on a plain. The dense town is stretched into a thin, winding shape, and the empty spaces around it are hillsides rather than fields. The result is a sinuous composition with a clear sense of terrain, even in a flat black-and-white print.

Switchback roads
Roads leaving the town zigzag up the slopes, drawing tight curves and hairpins that stand out against the open mountainside.
Hill margins
Steep slopes around the town remain mostly unbuilt, so the map shows a strong contrast between dense valley streets and empty surroundings.
