Highland Village is a suburban city in Denton County, north of Dallas, on the shore of Lewisville Lake. The lake defines the map. Its irregular shoreline, full of coves and small inlets, forms one edge of the town, and residential streets curve and branch inland from it, following the gentle rise of the land toward the main roads.
