Jobabo Map Poster & Print
Jobabo is a municipality in the south-west of Las Tunas Province in eastern Cuba, in flat lowland country long devoted to sugarcane. On a map the town is a modest grid of streets, compact and regular, with open farmland stretching away on all sides. Roads and rail lines link it to neighbouring towns across the plain.
As in much of the Cuban interior, the local economy has been tied to sugar, and the land around the town shows it. Field boundaries and farm tracks run straight across the plain. The town grew as a local centre for the surrounding agricultural district.
A Jobabo map poster keeps the frame tight on the town. The central streets form a clear pattern of blocks, and outbound roads lead off into the countryside. The plain background stands for the open fields. It is a simple, accurate picture of a rural Cuban town.

Open cane land
Flat agricultural land surrounds the town, leaving broad quiet space around the street network and emphasising its compact shape.
