Hillside edges
Steep, wooded slopes rise close behind the housing. On the map they appear as broad blank areas pressing against the dense, built-up streets.

Keng Hau Map Poster & Print
Keng Hau is a neighbourhood in the Sha Tin District of Hong Kong's New Territories, near Tai Wai in the southern part of the Sha Tin valley. Like much of the district, its map is full of contrasts. Tall residential blocks stand on podiums, access roads and footbridges curve between them, and steep green hillsides rise right behind the last buildings.
Sha Tin grew quickly from the 1970s as one of Hong Kong's planned new towns, built around the channelled Shing Mun River. Housing estates, schools and transport links were laid out in carefully planned clusters. Neighbourhoods such as Keng Hau sit within that framework, close to rail lines and the roads that tunnel south toward Kowloon.
A Keng Hau map poster suits anyone who has lived in one of these estates or grew up walking the paths between them. It shows a very Hong Kong kind of geography, where dense towers, green slopes and engineered waterways meet within a few hundred metres, and every line on the map is someone's daily route.

Road and rail links
Major roads and rail lines pass nearby on their way to Kowloon and central Sha Tin. They draw strong, direct lines across the curving local street pattern.
