Keshorai Pātan stands on the Chambal in Rajasthan's Bundi district, across the river from the Kota area. The Chambal is wide here, and on the map it dominates the frame, a broad band of water edged by the town on one side. The streets gather close to the bank and spread back inland in a looser pattern toward farmland.
The town is known for its temple to Keshavrai, a form of Vishnu, which rises above the riverbank.
