City walls
The historic centre is still defined by the course of its walls, which enclose a dense grid of narrow streets near the waterfront.

Lagos Map Poster & Print
Lagos lies on the western Algarve coast, where the Bensafrim river meets the Atlantic. From above, the old town is a tight cluster inside the line of its historic walls, set right beside the estuary and the marina. To the east, the long curve of Meia Praia runs along the bay.
South of the centre, the coast breaks into the cliffs, arches and sea stacks of Ponta da Piedade. Even at map scale they make an unusually intricate shoreline. Newer neighbourhoods climb the gentle slopes behind the town, where the street grid opens up into wider, more regular blocks.
Lagos was an important port during the Portuguese Age of Discoveries, when expeditions sailed from here along the African coast. A Lagos map poster brings together the walled centre, the river, the bay and the fractured coast in one clean composition.

Ponta da Piedade
South of town, the headland's cliffs and coves create one of the most intricate coastlines in the Algarve, and it reads beautifully in fine line.
Meia Praia
A long, straight beach sweeps east across the bay, giving the map a calm horizontal line that balances the busy old town.

Näme üçin Lagos
Many bar bolan karta
Lagos is a place people return to year after year, for the beaches, the light and the evenings in the old town. A map of it is a lasting souvenir of a holiday, a move to the Algarve or a summer that stayed with you.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps with the year of a first visit or the name of a family house. Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, which suits the coastal palette well.
