Lake Havasu City Map Poster & Print
Lake Havasu City lies on the eastern shore of Lake Havasu, a reservoir on the Colorado River along the Arizona–California border. On a map, the town spreads over the gently rising desert above the water, with long curving streets and cul-de-sacs typical of a planned community. The lake shore forms a winding edge full of coves and inlets.
The city was founded in the 1960s by the industrialist Robert McCulloch. His best-known move was buying the old London Bridge, which was taken apart and rebuilt here in 1971. It crosses a channel cut to separate the peninsula into an island, and the bridge has become the city's symbol.
A Lake Havasu City map poster shows the water and the desert in sharp contrast. The lake takes up much of the sheet, the island and channel mark the centre, and the looping suburban streets fill the slopes behind. It makes a clean, unusual map, especially when the bridge is in view.

The island
Across the channel, the island has a curving shoreline with marinas and roads. On the poster it forms a distinct shape surrounded by the lake.
Planned streets
The residential areas climb into the desert on long, curving streets and cul-de-sacs. From above they form a loose, looping pattern very different from an old town grid.
