Linton Hall Road
The main road runs through the community and ties together subdivisions on either side. On the poster it is a firm line among the softer residential curves.

Linton Hall Map Poster & Print
Linton Hall is a community in Prince William County, Virginia, in the outer part of the Washington metropolitan area. Most of its map is recent suburban planning. Curving streets end in cul-de-sacs, residential loops surround ponds and green space, and school campuses fill the larger plots. Linton Hall Road runs through the area and connects the neighbourhoods on each side.
The area was farmland and woods not long ago. Much of the housing has been built within the past few decades, so the street pattern is organised mainly around the needs of home life, with quiet internal roads. The community takes its name from the Linton family and the historic estate linked to them.
A Linton Hall map poster makes that suburban layout surprisingly graphic. The looping streets form shapes that look almost like handwriting, and they are held together by a small number of through roads. It is a good choice for a family who wants the exact street where their home stands, not a skyline.

Cul-de-sac patterns
Short streets end in round turning circles, which gives the map a repeating, almost botanical texture of branches and small rounded ends.
Ponds and green strips
Stormwater ponds, wooded buffers and school fields break up the housing. In print they appear as quiet open shapes between the neighbourhoods.
