Lyudinovo Map Poster & Print
Lyudinovo lies in the south-west of Kaluga Oblast, in a landscape of forests and rivers. Its defining feature on a map is the large reservoir beside the town, a long body of water whose shoreline frames the streets on one side. The town spreads along the water, with residential blocks, older houses with gardens and an industrial district in its structure.
Lyudinovo is known for its diesel locomotive plant, one of the major producers of shunting locomotives in Russia, and the town's history is closely tied to industry. The reservoir itself was created to serve early ironworks here, and today it is also a place for leisure, with beaches and walks along the shore.
A Lyudinovo map poster brings together the smooth outline of the reservoir, the grid of streets and the forest around the town. The contrast of water and streets gives it a strong, balanced composition, well suited to anyone who grew up by this lake or worked in the town.
