Maghull Map Poster & Print
Maghull lies on flat farmland just north of Liverpool, in Merseyside. On a map, the town is mainly suburban: curving residential roads, cul-de-sacs and green spaces fill the land between its main routes. The Leeds and Liverpool Canal runs through the town, adding a long, smooth line across the street pattern.
Transport is a strong feature of the plan. The Merseyrail line runs north–south with stations at Maghull and Maghull North. On the eastern edge, the M58 and M57 motorways meet near a large junction. Beyond them, open fields stretch toward the West Lancashire plain. Frank Hornby, the inventor of Meccano, made his home in Maghull.
A Maghull map poster pulls together the canal, the railway and the suburban streets in one well-balanced picture. In black and white, the curves of the canal and the patterns of the residential roads look especially good. For people who grew up or live here, the map is instantly recognisable.
