Malampaka is a town in the Simiyu Region of northern Tanzania, south of Lake Victoria. It sits on the railway that runs north across the country's central plains toward Mwanza, and the station is the heart of the town. The surrounding land is flat to gently rolling, used for farming and grazing, with scattered granite outcrops across the region.
From above, the railway is the clearest line on the map, running through the town in a long, steady course. Streets and homes gather around the station and the main road, and the built area becomes sparser toward open fields. Tracks and paths lead out to the surrounding villages.
