Miaoyu Map Poster & Print
Miaoyu lies in the mountainous northeast of Chongqing municipality, in steep, heavily folded country where level ground is rare. From above, the town fits into its valley: streets run along the valley floor and the watercourse, and buildings climb only as far as the slopes allow.
Across this region, roads have to follow the terrain. On a map they appear as long switchbacks and ribbons along the rivers, linking small settlements hidden between ridges. The town's shape is long and narrow, set by the land instead of by any planned grid.
A Miaoyu map poster captures a place that the mountains define. The dense strip of streets in the valley contrasts with the empty, rugged land around it, and the roads bend with the contours as they leave town, giving the composition a strong sense of terrain.

Mountain roads
Roads leaving the town twist and double back as they climb, drawing expressive curves that reflect how steep the surrounding ridges are.
Watercourse
A stream or river runs through the valley, and much of the town's layout lines up alongside it.
