Minnetonka Map Poster & Print
Minnetonka is a suburban city in Hennepin County, west of Minneapolis. It takes its name from Lake Minnetonka, which lies just to the west, and the map is shaped by the same glacial landscape: small lakes, ponds and wetlands scattered between wooded neighbourhoods, with streets curving around them rather than following a grid.
Minnehaha Creek begins at Lake Minnetonka and runs east through the city, a thin winding line that eventually reaches the Mississippi through Minneapolis. Interstate 494 and Highway 7 cross the area, and commercial centres such as Ridgedale sit along the main roads.
A Minnetonka map poster shows this loose, organic structure clearly: irregular blocks, dead-end streets, many small bodies of water and the long curve of the creek. In monochrome the lakes read as crisp shapes among fine street lines, giving the poster a calm, balanced look.
