Paddy-field mosaic
The valley floors are divided into small, regular plots. At poster scale their boundaries create a dense geometric texture that contrasts with the plain shading of the surrounding hills.

Miyako Map Poster & Print
Miyako sits in the northeast of Fukuoka Prefecture, inland from the Suō-nada coast, and most of its map is open land. Irrigated fields form a fine mosaic of rectangles along the valley floors, and small rivers wind toward the sea. Houses gather in loose clusters along roads and the rail line rather than around a single dense centre, and wooded hills close in on the southern and western edges.
The town took its present form in 2006, when three neighbouring municipalities merged. That explains why its streets appear in several separate pockets. The name means capital. This part of old Buzen Province once held the provincial government, and the site of that early administrative centre is still marked in the town today.
A Miyako map poster turns this farming landscape into something close to a textile: the fine grain of field boundaries, the thin threads of lanes and the heavier line of a river cutting across. It suits anyone with roots in the Miyako District, or anyone drawn to the quieter side of Kyushu, away from the port cities to the north.

Scattered settlement cores
The town combines three former municipalities, so housing appears in several distinct clusters linked by country roads. This gives the composition more than one focal point.
Wooded southern ridges
Forested high ground frames the lowlands to the south and west. Here the roads thin out into narrow lines that follow the valleys into the hills.

Näme üçin Miyako
Many bar bolan karta
For people from Miyako, the map records a landscape more than a skyline: the fields, the river crossings, the road to a family house. It works well in a calm interior where the fine line work can be seen up close.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can be personalised, so the poster can carry a family name, a moving date or an anniversary. Choose from five styles, Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, and order it as a $9 HD download or a printed poster.
