Murphy Map Poster & Print
Murphy is a city in Collin County, Texas, in the north-east of the Dallas–Fort Worth metropolitan area, between Plano to the west and Wylie to the east. It began as a small farming community on the railway line. In the 2000s it grew rapidly into the residential suburb seen on the map today.
From above, the pattern is classic North Texas suburbia. Major roads form a broad grid, and inside each large square a looping network of neighbourhood streets, cul-de-sacs and small parks fills the space. On a Murphy map poster this creates a striking rhythm, with bold straight lines framing dense, swirling cells of residential streets.
Creeks and their wooded greenbelts wind across the grid and soften its geometry, and parks and sports fields show up as open spaces between neighbourhoods. The map tells a story of recent American growth. For families who have made a home here, it is easy to find the street they live on.

Cul-de-sac neighbourhoods
Within each block, curving streets and dead-end circles form intricate, almost organic patterns, the most detailed and distinctive element of the suburban map.
Creek greenbelts
Small creeks and their wooded corridors meander across the grid, breaking its geometry with soft, irregular lines and leaving open space between subdivisions.
