Mucuri River
The river curves past the town, a soft, flowing line that contrasts with the street grid and gives the poster its strongest natural feature.

Nanuque Map Poster
Nanuque sits in the far northeast of Minas Gerais, on the Mucuri River, only a short distance from the state lines with Bahia and Espírito Santo. On a map the river curves through the landscape beside the town centre. The streets form a mostly regular grid that spreads outward among low hills and cattle pasture in the Mucuri valley.
The town developed during the twentieth century as a regional centre for cattle ranching, agriculture and trade in this border area. Its position makes it a crossroads between three states, with roads leading toward the coast of Bahia and into the interior of Minas Gerais. That in-between character shows in the network of highways leaving town.
The Nanuque map poster is built around the curve of the Mucuri. The river beside the centre, the grid spreading toward the hills and the highways reaching out to three states make a balanced composition with a natural focal point. Residents recognise it immediately, and it reads well in every style.

Valley setting
Low hills and pasture surround the town, and the street grid thins out where the ground begins to rise, leaving clean open space at the map's edges.
Three-state crossroads
Highways leave town toward Bahia, Espírito Santo and inner Minas Gerais, drawing long lines outward that frame the compact urban core.
