Oadby Map Poster & Print
Oadby lies just beyond the southeastern edge of Leicester, and on the map it reads as a mix of older village streets and twentieth-century suburbs. Main roads lead from the centre towards Leicester, Market Harborough and the surrounding villages, and between them are neighbourhoods of curving closes, crescents and cul-de-sacs typical of English suburban planning.
Two large open spaces stand out. Leicester Racecourse, which sits in Oadby, draws a long oval track on the map, and the University of Leicester Botanic Garden occupies grounds on the town's edge, close to the student residences. Together they give the map broad areas of open space among the housing.
An Oadby map poster brings together that familiar suburban texture and its unusual landmarks. The racecourse oval is instantly recognisable, and the small loops and bends of the residential streets create a pleasing rhythm. It suits long-time residents and former students who spent their first year in the halls here.

Botanic Garden
The University of Leicester Botanic Garden and nearby student residences form a green, low-density area with winding paths on the edge of town.
Suburban closes
Residential areas are full of crescents, loops and cul-de-sacs, giving the map a soft, curving texture that contrasts with the straight main roads.
