Valley footprint
The built-up area follows the valley instead of spreading evenly. Seen from above, the city is long and slightly curved, shaped by the surrounding hills.

Panshi Map Poster & Print
Panshi is a county-level city under Jilin City, set in the low hills and valleys of central Jilin Province. The name means something close to solid rock. On a map, the urban area follows the valley floor. Streets are more regular in the centre and less so toward the edges, where the land starts to rise.
The surrounding landscape is a mix of farmland in the valleys and forest on the higher ground, typical of the transition from the Northeast China Plain to the Changbai uplands. Roads and a rail line run along the valleys and connect the city to the region, so the map has a few long, winding corridors crossing an otherwise open landscape.
A Panshi map poster reflects that setting: a compact city, a river line and the gentle curves of the country around it. Because it has no famous monument, the print stays simple and personal, a quiet portrait of a northeastern Chinese city.

River line
A river runs through the area and gives the composition a natural curve that contrasts with the straighter streets in the centre.
Upland edges
Around the city, the grid gives way to farmland and wooded hills. The blank space around the edges keeps the print calm.
