Petrozavodsk Map Poster & Print
Petrozavodsk faces Lake Onega along a wide bay, and the city rises gently from the water in terraces of streets. Its main avenues run inland from the shore, crossed by others parallel to the lake, forming a loose grid. Two small rivers, the Lososinka and the Neglinka, cut shallow valleys through the centre, and the lake itself fills the eastern side of the map.
The city was founded in 1703 as an ironworks under Peter the Great, which gave it its name, and it is now the capital of the Republic of Karelia. The Onega embankment is lined with sculptures, many of them gifts from twin cities. In summer, boats leave from here for Kizhi island, famous for its wooden churches.
A Petrozavodsk map poster works because of the balance between land and water: a city on one side, a large quiet lake on the other. The $9 digital HD files cover six print sizes, each as a 300 DPI PNG and a print-ready PDF without a watermark. A free 900 px watermarked preview lets you check the result first.

River valleys
The Lososinka and Neglinka rivers cross the city in narrow green valleys, dividing districts and adding winding lines to the otherwise regular plan.
Circular square
A round square in the historic centre, laid out in the late eighteenth century, forms a distinctive circular shape set into the surrounding grid.

Näme üçin Petrozavodsk
Many bar bolan karta
For people from Karelia, the lake is part of home in a way that is hard to explain, and a map of Petrozavodsk makes that visible. It also suits travellers who passed through on the way to Kizhi and remember the embankment.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can be edited to include a date, a name or a short line of your own. Choose from five styles; Blueprint and Noir emphasise the lake, while Paper, Sand and Classic black & white keep a lighter tone.
