Ponte Vedra Beach lies in St. Johns County in north-east Florida, south of Jacksonville Beach. The community occupies a narrow strip of land between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway, and State Road A1A runs along most of its length. It is best known for golf.
