Popeşti-Leordeni Map Poster & Print
Popeşti-Leordeni is a town in Ilfov County, directly beside the southeastern edge of Bucharest. It formed from two older villages, Popeşti and Leordeni, and on the map the capital's streets run into it with no clear boundary. The land is flat, part of the Romanian Plain, so the plan is shaped by roads and property lines rather than terrain.
In recent decades the town has grown quickly as a residential suburb. Former farmland has been divided into long plots and filled with apartment blocks and houses, which gives much of the map a striped, parallel texture. Older village streets cross these newer developments at odd angles, and the Bucharest ring road passes nearby, carrying traffic around the edge of the capital.
A Popeşti-Leordeni map poster captures a place in the middle of change: an old village plan with a new suburb growing over it. The dense rows of new streets, the older lanes and the edge of Bucharest make a detailed composition. It is a good map for people who bought their first home here, or who remember the area before the building began.

Two village cores
The older centres of Popeşti and Leordeni can still be traced in the street pattern. Their irregular lanes contrast with the regular grids of recent development.
Edge of the capital
Bucharest's streets continue straight into the town, and the ring road passes close by. The poster places Popeşti-Leordeni firmly within the capital's wider urban area.
