Riachão das Neves Map Poster & Print
Riachão das Neves lies in western Bahia, in the region beyond the São Francisco River that has become one of Brazil's main agricultural frontiers. The landscape here is cerrado, the tropical savanna of central Brazil, with rivers flowing west to east through the plateau. On a map the town appears as a compact grid set in a very large, open municipality.
Across western Bahia, large-scale farming of soybeans, cotton and maize has changed the land dramatically in recent decades. Wide fields and long, straight roads now cover much of the plateau. Riachão das Neves itself is a modest town with a central square and church at its heart. Newer blocks have been added around the older streets as it has grown.
A Riachão das Neves map poster places the town at the centre of that wide landscape. The dense grid contrasts with the open ground and scattered roads around it, and the fine lines of watercourses add movement. It is a clean, spacious composition that suits the character of the cerrado well.

Cerrado landscape
The surrounding savanna and farmland leave much of the map open, marked only by roads and tracks that stretch toward farms and neighbouring towns.
Streams and valleys
Small watercourses run through the area, drawing gently curving lines that soften the straight roads and field edges of the plateau.
