Rockland Map Poster & Print
Rockland is a town in Plymouth County on the South Shore of Massachusetts. From above it looks like a classic New England town: a main road through a modest centre, with residential streets branching off in irregular loops and cul-de-sacs, and patches of woodland and water in between. There is no strict grid; the streets follow old routes and the lie of the land.
Like several South Shore towns, Rockland grew in the nineteenth century around shoemaking, and its older centre reflects that period of mill-town growth. Newer housing spreads outward in curving subdivisions, giving the map a pleasing mix of straight historic roads and softer modern lines.
A Rockland map poster is for people who know the town as home: the school routes, the ponds, the main street. It shows a lived-in place rather than a landmark, which often makes it the more personal choice for a wall.

Curving subdivisions
Residential streets loop and branch away from the main roads, forming soft, irregular patterns that fill much of the town's area.
Ponds and woods
Scattered ponds and wooded areas break up the street pattern, adding open shapes that give the print breathing room.
