Roswell Map Poster & Print
Roswell lies in southeastern New Mexico in the valley of the Pecos River. The river runs just east of the city, and flat high-plains country surrounds it. The town grew up as a ranching and farming centre, and it is laid out on a broad, regular grid of wide streets and generous blocks.
It is best known worldwide for the 1947 Roswell incident, when debris found on a nearby ranch set off decades of UFO stories. The International UFO Museum and Research Center stands on Main Street. The city is also home to the New Mexico Military Institute, and Bottomless Lakes State Park lies a short distance east.
A Roswell map poster is all long lines: the grid running north and south, the highways reaching out across open land, and the river's curve to the east. The design is spare and orderly, with a lot of empty space, much like the landscape around the city.

Pecos Valley
The Pecos River and its irrigated farmland lie just east of the city. They add a soft, curving line to an otherwise straight-edged map.
Open highways
Long, straight roads leave the city in several directions across the high plains, emphasising how isolated and open its setting is.
