Sacramento Map Poster & Print
Sacramento lies in western Minas Gerais, in the Triângulo Mineiro region, on the rolling uplands of the Brazilian interior. On a map, it is a medium-sized town with a regular grid of blocks around the centre, spreading into newer districts on its edges. Roads head out in long lines across the farmland and savanna.
The town is closely associated with Eurípedes Barsanulfo, an educator and prominent figure of Brazilian spiritism who lived and taught here in the early twentieth century, and it remains a place of visits for people who follow his work. Around the town, streams and small valleys cut through the land, marked on the map by winding green corridors.
A Sacramento map poster shows the calm order of a planned interior town: straight streets, squares at regular intervals and a clear edge where the town meets the countryside. The meandering streams add softer lines, which balance the geometry of the grid.
