San Fernando Map Poster & Print
San Fernando is the capital of Manantay district in Peru's Ucayali region, part of the urban area that has grown around Pucallpa in the Amazonian lowlands. The map shows a grid of streets spreading across flat ground. The Ucayali River and its complex floodplain lie close by, and tropical forest and farmland fill the land beyond the edges of the city.
The Ucayali is one of the main headwaters of the Amazon. Around Pucallpa it wanders across its floodplain in great loops, leaving oxbow lakes and abandoned channels behind. These curved shapes are among the most striking features on the map, and they contrast strongly with the straight, evenly spaced streets of the newer neighbourhoods.
A San Fernando map poster presents an Amazonian city in a very graphic way. The dense grid, the long roads leading into the countryside and the looping lines of water make a composition that feels both ordered and wild. It is a distinctive piece for anyone with ties to Ucayali or the Peruvian Amazon.

Oxbow lakes
Crescent-shaped lakes and old channels left by the shifting river are scattered around the area, adding elegant curved forms to the landscape.
Expanding grid
Straight streets in a regular grid extend across the flat terrain, showing the steady growth of the Pucallpa urban area into the surrounding land.
