San Isidro Map Poster & Print
This San Isidro lies in the State of Mexico, on the eastern side of the Valley of Mexico, where the metropolitan area of the capital meets the rising ground towards the volcanoes. On a map it appears as a close pattern of residential blocks, with main roads carrying traffic between the valley floor and the outlying towns to the east.
The area sits within the broad basin that was once covered by a system of lakes, including Lake Chalco to the south, most of which were drained over the centuries. Today the flat former lakebed is largely built over, and the peaks of Iztaccíhuatl and Popocatépetl stand to the east on clear days.
A San Isidro map poster captures the fine, repeated grain of a growing edge of Greater Mexico City. Tightly set streets fill the frame, and the main roads cut through them in firm lines. It is a composition that speaks of density and everyday life, and it gives a precise address to a place that many call home.

Main connecting roads
A few wider roads cut across the neighbourhood and link it to the rest of the metropolitan area, forming the strongest lines in the composition.
Old lake basin
The community stands on the flat floor of the valley, part of the basin once occupied by lakes, which explains the level ground and regular street pattern.
