Mousam River
The river winds through both Sanford and Springvale, widening into ponds along the way. It is the thread that ties the whole map together.

Sanford Map Poster & Print
Sanford lies in York County in southern Maine, inland from the coastal towns of Wells and Kennebunk. The Mousam River runs through it and powered the textile mills that built the city in the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. From above, the brick mill blocks and the dense streets around them still mark the historic core.
The city includes the village of Springvale, which has its own small centre further along the river. Between the two, the map shows mill ponds, residential streets and a lot of woodland. The Sanford Seacoast Regional Airport, with its crossing runways, is a clear geometric feature on the southern side of town.
A Sanford map poster brings together the river, the ponds and the grid of the old mill district. It shows a New England town shaped by water and industry, with its wide wooded surroundings giving the composition space and a sense of Maine.

Mill district
Large blocks near the river mark the old textile mills and the streets that grew around them. They form the densest part of the poster.
Airport runways
The regional airport's crossing runways stand out as bold straight lines. They add an unexpected graphic element to the southern edge of the map.
