Sanshui Map Poster & Print
Sanshui is a district of Foshan in Guangdong, in the northwest of the Pearl River Delta. Its name means three waters, and the map explains why. The Xi River and the Bei River come close together here, and with a third local river they divide the land into banks, islands and low-lying plains.
The town centre sits among these waterways, with new districts extending along the riverbanks and toward the rest of Foshan and Guangzhou. Water has always organised life here, from river transport to fishponds, and modern bridges and expressways now cross the channels in several places.
A Sanshui map poster places the rivers at the centre of the composition. Wide channels meet and part, islands sit between them, and the streets fill the ground wherever the land allows. In monochrome, the water and the city form a graphic interplay that is characteristic of the delta and easy to recognise.

River islands
Islands and sandbars lie between the channels, creating irregular pieces of land that give the poster intricate outlines.
Bridges and expressways
Modern bridges cross the rivers and link Sanshui to Foshan and Guangzhou, drawing straight lines across the curves of the water.
