Dense old core
The centre is a close weave of short lanes and small blocks. In black and white it becomes the darkest, most detailed part of the print.

Sheikhpura Map Poster & Print
Sheikhpura is the headquarters of a small district in south Bihar, on the plain south of the Ganges. On the map the town forms a compact core of narrow, closely packed lanes, with a few main roads leading out toward neighbouring towns. Beyond the built-up edge the pattern opens quickly into fields and scattered villages.
The area's landscape is not entirely flat. Low rocky hills appear in the district, and the region is known locally for stone quarrying. These higher areas break the evenness of the plain and give the map some contrast: bare, empty areas next to the tightly drawn grain of the old town.
A Sheikhpura map poster is a record of a working district town: the station, the market roads, the neighbourhoods that have grown out along the main routes. It is a map for people who know the town well and want its street pattern shown clearly, without decoration.

Radiating roads
Main roads run out from the town toward neighbouring settlements, and new building has followed them, giving the outline a spoked, uneven shape.
Rocky rises
Hills in the district interrupt the Bihar plain. They show up as open, unbuilt areas that contrast with the crowded streets.
