Somaroboro Map Poster & Print
Somaroboro lies in Mpumalanga, in the highveld country north-east of Pretoria. From above, the settlement is spread across wide, gently rolling land. Homes are arranged along a network of streets that is regular in places and looser in others, with open ground, small fields and patches of grass between neighbourhoods.
Like many communities in this part of South Africa, the area is largely residential, with most people travelling to larger towns and cities for work and services. Main roads link Somaroboro to the surrounding places, and these routes form the backbone of its layout on the map.
A Somaroboro map poster shows a place defined more by rhythm than by landmarks. Rows of plots repeat across the landscape, the streets branch and connect, and wide stretches of open land frame the settlement. In black and white, this pattern of homes and roads becomes a clear, gentle image of community across the highveld.
