South Portland sits on the southern shore of Portland Harbor in Maine, directly across the Fore River from its larger neighbour. The Casco Bay Bridge links the two cities. On the map, its northern edge is a long working waterfront of piers, tank farms and marinas, and the eastern shore curves out toward the open bay at Spring Point.
