SS2 is one of the numbered sections of Petaling Jaya, the satellite city just west of central Kuala Lumpur. Its map is an especially clean example of planned Malaysian suburbia. Long rows of terrace houses run in parallel, streets meet at neat right angles, and small parks and school grounds break up the pattern.
At the heart of the section is a commercial area of shophouses around a central square. It is widely known across the Klang Valley for its restaurants, hawker stalls and weekly night market. Major highways run along the edges of the section, giving the map strong outer boundaries.
