The river runs along the town in a wide, gentle curve and gives the composition its main natural line, set against the orderly street plan.

Svetlogorsk Map Poster & Print
Svetlogorsk sits on the Berezina River in the Homyel region of south-eastern Belarus. Until 1961 it was the settlement of Shatilki. It was renamed as it grew around a power station and new industry. From above, the town is compact and organised, with wide avenues and microdistricts of apartment blocks along the river.
The Berezina is the main natural feature. It bends past the town and gives the map a soft line against the straighter streets. Beyond the edges there is forest and wetland typical of Polesia's northern margins, drawn in broad, open shapes around the urban core.
A Svetlogorsk map poster shows a clear contrast between the planned residential districts, the industrial areas with their long rectangular footprints, and the flowing river. The layout is modest in scale, so the whole town fits neatly on the sheet, and each block and bend of water stays readable even at smaller print sizes.

Microdistrict blocks
Housing is arranged in the large superblocks of Soviet planning, with apartment buildings grouped around courtyards and served by a few wide roads.
Industrial edge
Energy and manufacturing sites sit apart from the housing. Their big, simple footprints add weight to one side of the map.

Näme üçin Svetlogorsk
Many bar bolan karta
Svetlogorsk is a town people usually know from the inside, through a school, a factory shift or an apartment on a particular street. A map of it keeps those places together in one frame, and it works well as a personal piece or as a gift for someone who has moved abroad.
You can personalise the title and subtitle, for example with the old name Shatilki, a year or a family name, and adjust the coordinates line. Each of the five styles, Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, gives the river and the blocks a different feel.
