Terenos Map Poster & Print
Terenos is a municipality in Mato Grosso do Sul, a short drive west of the state capital, Campo Grande. The town is laid out on a regular grid of straight streets and rectangular blocks, typical of towns in central-western Brazil, and from above it looks tidy and self-contained against the wide rural landscape around it.
Beyond the urban area the land is given over to cattle pasture, cropland and remnants of cerrado vegetation, crossed by roads and small watercourses. A highway links the town with Campo Grande to the east and continues west toward the Pantanal, so the map shows a place positioned between the state capital and the great wetlands.
A Terenos map poster is a study in regularity: the orderly blocks of the centre, the straight roads leaving town, the field boundaries beyond. It is an understated image, and for anyone who grew up here or has worked the surrounding land, it holds the exact shape of a very familiar place.
