Thilogne Map Poster & Print
Thilogne is a town in the Matam region of north-eastern Senegal, in the area known as the Fouta, near the valley of the Senegal River. From above, it is a spread of compounds and sandy lanes on flat land, with a main road passing through that connects it to other towns along the valley.
The Senegal River shapes life in this region. Its floodplain supports farming, and towns along the valley have long been linked by the river and the roads that run beside it. Around Thilogne, the landscape moves between cultivated valley land and drier Sahelian ground.
A Thilogne map poster shows a town with a loose, irregular pattern of streets and compounds held together by one main route. The edges fade into open land, giving the print a lot of calm white space. It is a modest portrait of a town in the Fouta.
