Trizidela do Vale Map Poster & Print
Trizidela do Vale lies in central Maranhão, on the bank of the Mearim River opposite the town of Pedreiras. On a map the two form one urban area divided by the river. Trizidela occupies one side and Pedreiras the other, and bridges connect them. The streets on each bank form their own grid and meet at the water.
The Mearim is one of Maranhão's main rivers. Here it bends through low ground that floods in the rainy season, which has shaped where people build. Beyond the town, the land opens up into pasture and babassu palm country typical of the region.
A Trizidela do Vale map poster is defined by the river. Its curving course runs through the middle of the picture, the town's grid fills one bank, and the bridge crossings stitch it to the neighbour. It is a strong composition for a small place, built around a single powerful line.

Bridge crossings
Bridges link the two banks and make them one urban area. On the map they are short but meaningful strokes across the water.
Riverside grid
Trizidela's streets form a fairly regular pattern on its side of the river. The grid gives the drawing its structure against the curve of the water.
